Welcome to Year 2

In Geography, we are learning about 'My City.' See attached Knowledge Organiser below for more information. 

In Science, we are learning about 'Animals including Humans' 

The children will need to wear PE kits on a Monday and Tuesday. If your child is wearing either school shoes or trainers to school with laces then where possible, please support them at home to learn how to tie their own laces independently.

Each day, the children should have a bag or book bag in school with their reading record and their school reading books. Please initial or comment in your child's reading record when you have listened to them read at home. Children should be reading their Read Write Inc book bag book three times per week. The children should be reading their Read Write Inc book that they have shared in school with you at home, three times per week . The storybook that your child brings home should be read by an adult to the child. The school reading books will be changed once a week.  

Where possible, please label your child's belongings so they can be reunited when lost.
